Staying the course

I've heard some hand-wringing about how little the Indians have done this off-season, but as ESPN's Peter Gammons points out, it's far from being time to panic. A talented team that doesn't change much is still a talented team. Sure, the Tigers are going to be better than last year, but our Tribe will be right there.

Exactly. It would be one thing if the Tribe was an aging club, duct-taped together with a bunch of veterans. But the Tribe is still a relatively young club, and they have made a commitment to a core of young players who are now maturing and entering their prime. They're fine. Plus, if they make a run at the playoffs, they can always acquire a player or two in late summer like they did last season with Kenny Lofton.
